The organization took part in FEDER’s annual assembly, where progress achieved over the past year and the goals of the 2030 Strategic Plan were presented
Fundació La Nineta dels Ulls recently travelled to Madrid to attend the General Assembly of FEDER, one of the most important annual gatherings for organizations working to improve the lives of people living with rare diseases and their families.
The event provided an opportunity to learn first-hand about the achievements and milestones reached by FEDER over the past year, as well as the challenges and priorities that will shape its future work. Participants were also introduced to the key objectives and strategic lines of action included in the organization’s 2030 Strategic Plan, a roadmap aimed at strengthening advocacy efforts, promoting research, and improving access to healthcare and social support for people affected by rare diseases.
The General Assembly brought together representatives from organizations across Spain, creating a valuable space for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and collective action in support of the rare disease community.
For Fundació La Nineta dels Ulls, however, the most significant moment of the day was the appointment of Joan Carles Castillo to FEDER’s Board of Directors.
This appointment represents an important recognition of his commitment and longstanding work supporting people affected by rare diseases and their families. It also provides an opportunity to further contribute the perspective and experience of patient and social organizations within FEDER’s decision-making bodies.
Fundació La Nineta dels Ulls warmly welcomed this new milestone and reaffirmed its commitment to continuing its collaboration with FEDER and other organizations across the sector, working together towards a more inclusive, equitable, and supportive society for people living with rare diseases.
