Fundació La Nineta dels Ulls Advances the Erasmus+ SUPERHERO SCHOOL Project at Its Second Transnational Meeting in Athens (15/06/2026)

Project partners meet in Greece to continue building an inclusive and digital education system for students with cancer

On June 15, the second transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ project SUPERHERO SCHOOL: Imagining an Inclusive and Digital Education System Adapted to Students with Cancer took place in Athens, Greece. The initiative is coordinated by Fundació La Nineta dels Ulls and aims to promote an inclusive and digital education for students with cancer across Europe.

The meeting was hosted by Leonteios School and brought together representatives from all partner organizations involved in the project: Karkinaki, Escola PAX, Smallcodes, Leonteios School, and RedTree.

During the meeting, partners reviewed the progress achieved across the different project results, shared updates on ongoing activities, addressed key questions, and agreed on the next steps to ensure the successful implementation of the project. The discussions focused on developing innovative educational resources and digital solutions that can better support students affected by cancer throughout their educational journey.

SUPERHERO SCHOOL seeks to address the educational challenges faced by children and adolescents undergoing cancer treatment by creating tools, methodologies, and digital resources that facilitate learning continuity, emotional well-being, and successful school reintegration. Through international cooperation, the project aims to contribute to a more accessible, inclusive, and student-centered education system.

In addition to the working sessions, participants had the opportunity to visit the facilities of Leonteios School and exchange experiences regarding their respective educational contexts. The warm welcome provided by the host organization helped strengthen collaboration and foster closer relationships among the project partners.

Fundació La Nineta dels Ulls highlighted the importance of these face-to-face meetings in promoting knowledge exchange, coordinating joint efforts, and ensuring that the project’s outcomes effectively respond to the real needs of students with cancer, their families, and educational communities.

The consortium will continue working together through online meetings and collaborative activities in the coming months, advancing towards the shared goal of creating a more inclusive and digital education system for students with cancer.
