The Xalet de Prades hosted a new edition of the Meeting of Retinoblastoma Patients, Families and Expert Professionals, which this year reached its 6th edition. Once again, it brought together people who share a common journey from different perspectives, creating a space for connection, learning and shared experiences.
Throughout the meeting, families had the opportunity to share experiences, discuss concerns, learn and speak with professionals specialised in retinoblastoma, while also enjoying more relaxed moments through activities and spaces designed for families to spend time together.
Beyond the scheduled activities, one of the main strengths of this meeting is the opportunity to feel supported and connect with other families who have experienced or are experiencing similar situations. At the same time, it allows professionals to gain a closer understanding of families’ experiences, needs and concerns.
Once again, the surroundings of the Xalet de Prades provided the setting for this community gathering. It was a few days in which we learned, shared, played and, above all, shared many emotional moments. Creating spaces for connection and togetherness is also a way of strengthening our community and continuing to support families.
Fundació La Nineta dels Ulls would like to thank the Diputació de Tarragona for its collaboration and, especially, the Foundation’s team and all the organisations that helped make this 6th meeting possible: Xalet de Prades, Vichy Catalan and La Roche-Posay.
We look forward to meeting again next year to continue sharing experiences, learning together and creating new memories.
