Superheroines and Superheroes Day

Superheroes of the future: imagining an inclusive world

The Fundació La Nineta dels Ulls invites you to participate in the Superheroines and Superheroes Day. The main objective of this day is to promote the inclusion of all children in the classroom, because we are all different and, therefore, we are all special. On the other hand, the aim is to raise awareness of retinoblastoma and its symptoms in order to achieve an early diagnosis of the disease.

On this day, we propose a new activity that allows students to imagine what the superheroines and superheroes of the future would be like, focusing on inclusion and equality.

The idea is to work with students on values such as inclusion, respect for differences and cooperation. Through a story about the Superheroes of Inclusion in the city of Harmony, students will be able to reflect on how everyone has the power to make the world a better place for everyone, regardless of their abilities, appearance or origin.

If you haven’t signed up yet, you can do it all year long!

On the 1st day of superheroines and superheroes, some schools organised a solidarity race, others made and sold cakes and cupcakes, others put up a solidarity piggy bank at the school entrance. You can do whatever you want!

If you are up for it, the money raised will go to the research project for a liquid biopsy test for the early detection of second tumours in patients with hereditary retinoblastoma. This is a project that we are promoting at the Foundation, with the participation of several hospitals in Spain and Latin America.

We have different products: Boc’n’Roll, Bandana or badges. You will find more information in the Original Donations section of our website.
