Peer Connect Programme
The aim is to create a space for information and support for families recently diagnosed with retinoblastoma and/or during the oncological process.
The programme has been supervised by the Psychology team of the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu with the collaboration of the teams of: Child Life, Ophthalmology, Oncology, Surgery, Anaesthesiology, Nursing and Social Work.
How does the programme work?
- Putting families newly diagnosed and/or in the cancer process in contact with families who have already been through the process (support families).
- In order to ensure an optimal support process, support families will receive specific training.
