The Tarragona Provincial Council<\/strong> has awarded a grant of \u20ac5,256.35<\/strong> to the La Nineta dels Ulls Foundation<\/strong> to support the development of a mobile application aimed at the early detection of retinoblastoma<\/strong>, a type of eye cancer that mainly affects young children.<\/p>\n Thanks to this institutional support, the Foundation has been able to implement the initial prototype of the mobile application<\/strong> and acquire a dedicated mobile device to carry out technical testing and validation<\/strong>. This first step is essential to move forward towards a robust, accessible digital tool aligned with public health criteria.<\/p>\n Early detection of retinoblastoma is crucial, as a timely diagnosis can save vision, the eye and, in many cases, the child\u2019s life<\/strong>, while also allowing for less aggressive treatments and improving the quality of life of both patients and their families.
