\"Deputy<\/p>\n

The Health Committee of the Spanish Congress of Deputies has approved a Non-Legislative Proposal promoted by the La Nineta dels Ulls Foundation<\/strong> aimed at increasing the frequency of pediatric ophthalmological screenings across all Autonomous Communities. This measure represents a key step forward in improving the early detection of retinoblastoma<\/strong>, a rare but serious childhood eye cancer that primarily affects very young children.<\/p>\n

The approval of this initiative marks a significant milestone in the field of public health, as early detection of retinoblastoma can make a decisive difference in prognosis, treatment options, and the quality of life of affected children and their families. Timely diagnosis is essential to improve survival rates and to reduce the long-term impact of the disease.<\/p>\n

The Non-Legislative Proposal was presented to the Health Committee by the Socialist Parliamentary Group<\/strong>, and the Foundation would like to express its sincere gratitude to Members of Parliament Alba Soldevila, Carmen Andr\u00e9s and Sara Jaurrieta<\/strong>, who believed in this initiative and supported it from the very beginning. Their commitment has been crucial in turning a demand arising from families and civil society into a political initiative with real impact.<\/p>\n
