This annual gathering has become a <strong data-start=\"434\" data-end=\"570\">key event for bringing together patients, families, and healthcare professionals to share experiences, knowledge, and best practices<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"575\" data-end=\"834\">During the event, participants <strong data-start=\"606\" data-end=\"831\">learned through talks and workshops, played in activities designed for children, shared personal and professional experiences, and connected emotionally with meaningful moments among families and medical teams<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"836\" data-end=\"1197\">This growing and increasingly close-knit group is characterized by <strong data-start=\"915\" data-end=\"1013\">deep roots, a strong trunk, and branches that value the truly essential things in life<\/strong>. The discussions and activities allowed everyone to reflect on the importance of community, resilience, and mutual support in the daily lives of families affected by retinoblastoma.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1199\" data-end=\"1233\">Highlighted activities included:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1234\" data-end=\"1565\">\n<li data-start=\"1234\" data-end=\"1343\">\n<p data-start=\"1236\" data-end=\"1343\"><strong data-start=\"1236\" data-end=\"1274\">Interactive workshops for children<\/strong>, helping them learn about eye care and visual health through play.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1344\" data-end=\"1478\">\n<p data-start=\"1346\" data-end=\"1478\"><strong data-start=\"1346\" data-end=\"1386\">Discussion sessions and expert talks<\/strong>, where families could ask questions and share experiences with specialized professionals.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1479\" data-end=\"1565\">\n<p data-start=\"1481\" data-end=\"1565\"><strong data-start=\"1481\" data-end=\"1499\">Group dynamics<\/strong>, fostering emotional support and strengthening community bonds.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1567\" data-end=\"1810\"><strong data-start=\"1571\" data-end=\"1636\">The next meeting will take place from October 23\u201325 next year<\/strong>, once again in the idyllic setting of <strong data-start=\"1675\" data-end=\"1697\">El Xalet de Prades<\/strong>, where families and professionals will continue sharing experiences, knowledge, and moments of connection.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1812\" data-end=\"2096\">A <strong data-start=\"1817\" data-end=\"1835\">special thanks<\/strong> to the team at the La Nineta dels Ulls Foundation and our collaborating partners: Xalet de Prades, Diputaci\u00f3 de Tarragona, Vicky Catalan, La Roche Posay, and Giotto, for making this gathering possible and helping to build a stronger, more cohesive community.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2098\" data-end=\"2277\">This event demonstrates that beyond medical treatment, <strong data-start=\"2153\" data-end=\"2274\">community, education, and the exchange of experiences are essential for the well-being of patients and their families<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prades hosted the 5th meeting of patients, families, and experts in retinoblastoma, full of learning, games, talks, and emotional moments, strengthening bonds among families and professionals.
